A Flavorful Journey Through Maldives
We embarked on a culinary adventure in the Maldives, and let us tell you, our taste buds were in for a treat! We were eager to experience the local cuisine, and the staff at our resort were incredibly welcoming and informative.
Our Maldivian breakfast was an eye-opener. We sampled a variety of dishes, including patch of moldy, omelette, fish curry leaf tuna, dried chili, fish sambal, chopped chili, limes, coconut juice, cucumber apple celery and spinach juice. While some flavors were new to us, we appreciated the opportunity to try something different.
For dinner, we continued our exploration of Maldivian cuisine. We indulged in delicious snacks like sweet cooked under the sun with coconut sweetener, almond and rice snack, and spicy dried fish. Each bite was a delightful surprise.
The staff at our resort went above and beyond to share their culture and food with us. Their hospitality made our experience even more special. We’re so grateful for the opportunity to immerse ourselves in Maldivian cuisine.
If you ever find yourself in the Maldives, we highly recommend venturing beyond the resort buffet and trying the local food. You won’t regret it!
